PEOPLE FIRST ANNUAL MURAL CONTEST 2023

A regional arts competition will be sponsored by People First with Allentown Mural Arts to celebrate "community" at its branch on the Allentown ArtsWalk in downtown Allentown at 26 N. 6th Street. The winning artwork will be reproduced large-scale and displayed for one year in the People First windows.

The Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in our region.

The Competition is open to residents of Lehigh, Northampton and Carbon Counties in PA, and Warren County NJ. The submitted works will also be featured on the People First website peoplefirstcu.org, and on social media.

NEW MAPLE STREET GARAGE PATROTIC MURAL PROJECT

DEADLINE:  FEB 11, 2022

Allentown Mural Arts (AMA) in partnership with the Allentown Parking Authority (APA) seeks artist responses via this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a commission of an original work of art by a professional artist(s) to be painted/applied onto the facade over the new 6-story, 1,090 space parking garage under construction at 900 Maple Street (near 9th and Walnut Streets, Allentown). The new garage adds important infrastructure to the rapidly expanding downtown. APA is requesting the artwork to encompass the theme of patriotism with the artistic resemblance or interpretation of the United States flag.

DA VINCI SCIENCE CENTER MURAL PROJECT

DEADLINE:  FEB 4, 2022

In partnership with Cultural Coalition of Allentown, Artists are to submit proposals for designing and installing a semi-permanent mural at the location of the future Da Vinci Science Center building that will be located in the 800 block of Hamilton Street, Allentown.

ARTWORK CELEBRATING COMMUNTY AT PEOPLE FIRST CREDIT UNION ON THE ARTSWALK
