BLACK HISTORY MONTH FEATURING
FEMI J JOHNSON
& VARIOUS CUBAN ARTISTS FROM
THE W COLLECTION
THROUGH MARCH 21, 2021

Femi Johnson was born in Manhattan, New York in 1952 and grew up in Easton, PA. He pursued a career as a master draftsman and designer before studying fine art at Hudson Valley College. He is currently an artist and educator in Allentown, PA.

Coinciding with Black History Month, the work in the show was completed during COVID 2020 and, according to curator Deborah Rabinsky, "you can feel Femi's process turning from outward viewing to inward seeking, the brush is moving slower and his colors are deeper and very rich. Is Femi asking himself questions of how he lived his life..."

ARTHAUS is a partnership between RE:find and the Allentown Arts Commission.
